Here's what the humans have to say about me:
"Hey there, pals! I'm Daisy, the cutest 3-year-old pupper you'll ever meet! Woof woof! 🐾 So, here's the scoop about me: I was surrendered, but don't worry, I'm still wagging my tail and ready to find my forever family! I absolutely adore kiddos, especially those aged 2 and up. I'm like a big furry sibling, always up for fun and games! Oh, and did I mention I'm totally housebroken? Yep, no accidents here! When it comes to family time, I'm all about snuggles and kisses. I might be a bit on the larger side, but I firmly believe I'm a lap dog—nothing beats a good cuddle session! When it's playtime, I'm gentle as can be, but watch out, I might try to steal your heart with my playful antics!
Now, let's talk about my quirks—I'm a homebody for sure! I love staying in my yard, and I'm a pro at crate training, though I might whine a bit because I miss my humans. Speaking of humans, when visitors come by, I start off a tad shy, but once I warm up, I'm all tail wags and smiles! Doorbells? Yeah, I'll bark at those, but it's just to let everyone know we have guests!
Now, about my furry friends—I'm mostly chill, but I can get a little possessive over toys and food. Never met a cat, so who knows how that would go! I'm a smarty-pants too—I know commands like sit, come, shake, and even spin! And let's talk about treats—duck jerky? Yes, please! 🦆
Leash walks are a breeze for me, but thunderstorms and loud noises? Not my jam. And being alone? Well, let's just say I'm not a fan. Sometimes I get a bit anxious and show it by being a tad destructive. But with a patient family who understands my needs, I know I'll be just fine!
Oh, and one more thing—when I first arrived at my last home, I was a nervous pooper for about a week. Hey, new places can be scary, you know? But with some love and patience, I settled right in.
So, if you're looking for a loyal companion who's equal parts snuggle buddy and playmate, I'm your girl! Let's make some pawsitive memories together, okay?" 🐶

More about this shelter
We have a small, rural, government-run Animal Control facility dedicated solely to dogs. This entails accepting both owner surrenders and stray animals found on the streets. Our team consists of four dedicated individuals: two full-time Animal Control Officers, one part-time Kennel Tech, and one part-time Animal Care Assistant. We have limited office staff, and our presence in the office may be intermittent. For the most reliable communication, please reach out by phone. While we do not have a voicemail system, calls will be forwarded to our dispatch center where you can leave a message. Additionally, all transactions are by appointment only.
