My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Angel was vetted yesterday and is on the hunt for her forever home. Angel was left tied outside by the road. She had had puppies also but the people would not surrender the pups. Angel's skin and coat are in rough shape. She has areas of hair missing (particularly on her bum/tail region) and its very thin in other areas. Vet believes it was caused by fleas and chronic scratching, which resulted in a skin infection. We have her on antibiotics and started on Simparica Trio for fleas/heartworm prevention/dewormer. She was loaded with hookworms also so she has received a Drontal to treat those. She is heartworm negative. She's looking a bit rough right now but that will improve with time (and we have seen rougher pups magically transform into beautiful dogs). Angel weighed 51.1 pounds as of 3/20/24.Angel is super sweet and appears to be a gentle dog. She looks to be a husky or husky mix. She gets along well with other dogs and should do well with kids also. We were told that Angel also does well with cats but does not like goats. Angel could use some basic obedience training with jumping and walking well on a leash, etc. but I'm sure she really was never worked with or taught good manners since that usually only happens when people actually care about their pets. It doesn't appear that Angel's former owners cared all that much and that Angel was used to make them money from her puppies. Angel will not have to worry about that any longer as she was spayed yesterday also. Angel's future is already looking brighter...now all she needs is someone's love!
If interested in giving Angel her forever home, please submit your interest and your adoption application via email or text ONLY to 352-215-3260 (phone calls will not be answered or returned from this number). Angel's adoption fee will be $175 to help cover the cost of her vetting and daily care while with us. We will only consider applicants who complete the adoption application and will determine whether the applicant would be a good fit for Angel based on the info provided in the application. If we feel that you will be a good match for her, we will set up a meet and greet appointment with you.
