My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Zoodle was brought in by our Humane Law Enforcement team on March 7, 2024.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Meet Zoodle, the sweet but timid pup with a heart of gold! Shy at first, Zoodle takes her time to trust, but once she does, she blossoms into a friendly companion. She enjoys her independence but welcomes gentle pets from those she trusts. Zoodle is looking for a serene and tranquil home where her world can stay cozy and calm. She's a bit of a homebody who doesn't do well with crowds or new people approaching her too quickly. While she prefers to be the sole pet (and would do best without much exposure to small pets), she may be open to sharing her space with a mellow, large dog who matches her laid-back play style. Get ready for some zoomies and playful antics with this adorable canine, who delights in frolicking with her favorite toys! If you're looking for a gentle soul to brighten your days, Zoodle might just be the perfect match for you! Bring the whole family in to say hello!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
