My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
License was rescued by the Humane Law Enforcement Team on April 23, 2024.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Gorgeous girl License is searching for a patient and understanding new home with her best buddy, Registration 902892. They are bonded, meaning they need to go home together! A treat-motivated enthusiast of "sniffaris," she thrives on sensory exploration and delights in the simple joys of life. Her fear and reactivity toward strangers necessitate a virtual behavior consult prior to an in-person interaction to help ensure a safe and positive experience for both License and her potential adopter. Forging a bond with License will require patience; be prepared to build trust at her pace. (Leveraging treats and playtime will help build a connection with her faster!) As we continue to unravel the layers of her unique personality and preferences, we'll update this description. If you're prepared to open your heart and home to License, come meet her with a leash and collar in hand - you may just bring home your new companion.

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
