Hi, I’m Star! I'm a loving black kitten named for the white "star" on my throat. I’m a bit timid so you’ll need to give me a little time to come around. Once I’m comfortable with you and my surroundings, I’ll offer my chin and belly for scratches and pets. You’ll be rewarded for your patience and loving touch when I rub my face into your palm, purring softly in appreciation. I'm an athletic girl and will chase any dangling wand toy . . . and the red laser dot that I can never catch gives me the zoomies as I try to pounce on it! My foster thinks I would be just fine as an only kitty, or in a home with other animals after a few days and with proper introductions.

My foster home has 3 adult cats and kittens younger than me, and we’ve all gotten along very well. I've learned to play gently with the 8-week-old kittens and to respect the senior cats’ need for tranquility.

Fully vetted: tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted); treated for intestinal parasites, fleas, and ear mites; FVRCP+FeLV vaccinated (initial vaccination and booster); and rabies vaccinated; spayed/neutered; microchipped with rescue paid registration.

More about this rescue

Alley Cats and Angels (AC&A) is a non-profit feline rescue organization dedicated to improving the lives of unwanted and abandoned cats in our community. We work to decrease the number of homeless cats through our adoption program, trap-neuter-return (TNR) efforts for feral cats, education of pet owners on sterilizing owned cats, and public education and awareness.
