My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lionel and Sierra MUST be adopted together. There are NO exceptions. See Sierra here. [link to companion cat on the word "here"]

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is helping facilitate the adoption of this cat through our Owner Placement Program. We take no responsibility for the health and medical records of this cat. It is the responsibility of the owner and adopter to discuss this.

Lionel (and Sierra) is NOT in a Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue foster home, but residing with his current owner in Cameron Park. Adoption fee applies. Find out more about Owner Placement Cats.

Lionel and Sierra are a bonded pair, brother and sister, from the same parentage. Three year old Lionel is the 'little' brother to his 4 year old "big" sister Sierra. Lionel is a blue color pointed polydactyl kitty, meaning he has some extra toes which make his big paws look extra adorable. Sierra is such a girly girl with her white mitted paws which is a common Ragdoll breed trait.

These two both get along with other cats and are easy to take care of. Their fur does not easily mat and they are brushed regularly 2x a week. Lionel loves it! While Sierra is tolerant, she sweetly vocalizes how she "doesn't need it".

They love to chase and fetch balls, play with catnip and feather wand toys. Sierra is the playful, loving, social diva of the two and the official door greeter. Lionel, while friendly to visitors, is wary at first, but will come out and be social.

They are both in good health, and on a 2x a day feeding schedule. They do have an occasional hairball, so plenty of fresh clean water is a must with their wet and dry food, as well as that regular fur brushing. They each have great litter box habits. These are fastidious indoor only cats using both traditional litter boxes and a Litter Robot. Lionel prefers the traditional litter box which is cleaned 2x a day, and while Sierra prefers the Litter Robot, she will use a litter box. (The Litter Robot is negotiable with the owner) They use their scratching posts regularly.

Their owner describes them as "very well mannered cats, easy to take care of and get along well with other cats. They are gentle, fine with being picked up, love attention and both are very playful. They like to sleep on the couch and just about sleep everywhere. Currently they do not sleep in bedrooms, but we think Lionel and Sierra would like that. They have slept with guests on the end of the sofa bed."

We asked: What would make them the happiest cats in the world? . . . "Someone that loves cats, will play with them, pay lots of attention and interacts with them, and is home most of the time, preferably at least 3 days a week."

We expect these desirable kitties will be melting many hearts, so we encourage your inquiry and/or application as soon as possible for the opportunity have them in your forever home.

Lionel is neutered, vaccinated, FELV tested, microchipped, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect.

He currently lives with his owner in Cameron Park.

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home.

If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Lionel (and Sierra) please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Pam at cheemers@gmail.com or 541-290-8408. If you are unable to reach Pam please email us at info@purebredsplus.org.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone's best interests!

Purebreds Plus cat Rescue (purebredsplus.org), serving Northern California, the San Francisco Bay Area, Oregon, and Northern Nevada, is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of purebred cats, kittens and other exceptional felines. We are a 501 (c)3 non-profit rescue group. Most of our beautiful felines come from Northern California Animal Shelters. One of our goals is to keep purebred cats from ever ending up in a shelter. We are happy to help you if you need to rehome your purebred cat. Often, we can offer advice if your cat is having behavioral problems, and you may end up keeping the cat. We do NOT ship cats. We will place cats out of area but you must arrange to come and meet your new friend in person.
