My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Echolocate with those ears!

Whozit or Whatzit is disguised as a stuffed animal, young eager to learn, and loves to play. She is bursting with puppy love and playfulness. She's looking for an owner who will spend the time helping her reach her full potential.

Whozit or Whatzit is looking for an active owner committed to regular exercise and obedience training, and would love to meet other puppies at puppy school.

Whozit or Whatzit is not in the main public section of the shelter, so be sure to ask for her by name if you come to visit her!

More about this shelter

The Humane Society of Scott County (HSSC) has been an advocate for the humane care of all animals in Scott County, Iowa, since 1902.

An average of 500 pets arrive at the HSSC each month. About 80% come to us as strays and the rest are surrendered by owners who can no longer keep or care for their pets.

The HSSC is a non-profit 501(c) 3 organization funded entirely by donations, adoption fees and a fee charged to the city and county for the care of the animals.
