BIO:
Greetings from Lizzie the Lovebug, a young gal searching for a home with a patient person/family who understands dogs and will help build my confidence. Because here's the thing-I came to FTF from a Texas shelter, where I was brought in as a stray, and never had opportunities for puppy socialization. As a result, I'm a bit timid when meeting new people, and it takes me a while to warm up. But once I do, settle back and enjoy the love, as I'll never want to leave your side!

Here are a few other facts about me. Aside from being a world class snuggler, I adore playing, especially with other dogs. So if there's a resident canine in your house, we'll become best buddies in no time. And if you have a fenced backyard (which would be ideal), we'll keep ourselves well-exercised with endless games of chase. I'm crazy about toys and am totally non-selective-balls, squeakies, stuffies, bones, even sticks-they're all my favorites. I'm almost there when it comes to potty training and go to the door when I need to go out (though I sometimes forget to alert that I'm there waiting). I'm comfortable sleeping in my crate overnight or when you go out. But being left alone does make me sad, so please toss in some toys to keep me occupied. And since I tend to bark when you leave, no condos or apartments (shared walls), please. Finally, FTF requires all adopters of young pups like me to sign up for training classes. Not only will I learn a lot of new things that will make our lives more fun, but it will give me a chance to socialize with other pooches and their parents.

My foster mom describes me as the perfect little short stack who's just looking to hang out with her special person/people. Could that be you? If you think so, please fill out an adoption application ASAP and schedule a meet and greet!

Love and licks,
Lizzie

If you'd like to adopt this dog, please get started by filling out a complete application (incomplete submissions cannot be sent.) Please note that while we take time to learn as much as we can about each dog in our care as possible, our bios are written from current observations. Though we do our best to share as much information as possible about each dog we care for, we are unable to make any guarantees on the future health or temperament of your adopted dog. Most dogs in our care come with unknown pre-rescue history, and information pertaining to breed and age are often educated guesses.
