My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Petie is a confident and friendly boy.  He can be picked up, face kissed, belly rubbed and will sit on your lap. He really loves people and just soaks up attention.  He loves to sit with you on the couch and is a complete sweetheart.

Petie has an allergy to dust, which is easily avoided with litter that doesn't have dust.  Litters that we use for him are World's Best corn litter and Naturally Fresh walnut litter.  When his allergy was not under control he suffered from an ear infection that left him with a head tilt.  He's well now and just needs the right litter.  Petie also requires a special Urinary Diet, as he is prone to crystals in his urine.

Petie is part of a bonded pair with his mother.  They have remained close their entire lives, cuddling and grooming each other. Nutmeg is very cat selective and is only truly comfortable with Petie. Due to this we feel that they would be happiest as only pets in their home.  They need a special family to open their homes to older cats with a lot of love to give, but not many prospects.

Petie is 8 years old and located in Holtsville, NY.   We have rated Petie as a 2 paws cat.  Check out our quiz www.jensadoptablecats.com/cat-match-quiz to find how many paws you match with!

To Adopt Petie & Nutmeg: fill out an application on our website at www.jensadoptablecats.com/applications.  The adoption fee for the pair is $200.

More about this rescue

Jen's Adoptable Cats is committed to ensuring our cats get to live their best life. They receive full veterinary care, healthy food and love in our foster homes.

We primarily take in cats who would have lived their lives on the streets, which is a a short and difficult life. They receive the medical care they so desperately need and we provide socialization, easing their transition to indoor life.

We take in cats of all ages, and cats with special needs. We believe that all cats are special and deserving of the best of us.

By adopting from our rescue you not only give a home to a beautiful cat, you save another cat who is outside fighting to survive.
