My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Baby Bassett is looking for their forever home!

WHAT MY FOSTER SAYS: Bassett is extremely affectionate. Every time he can, he will put his paws on your leg and beg to be picked up. He also tries to get into your lap and will just chill out -giving many kisses. Bassett is most similar to his sibling Patrick. They play well together and also like to chill out together. They both love to be held and snuggle with their person. Bassett seems to be a more independent and fine on his own, but he love being with his siblings too. As the puppies are growing their fun energy is increasing as well as their endurance. We have a huge outdoor play pen area with obstacle toys and they love to run around and play with each other. We have a lot of squeaky toys that they love to play with and one pup will grab a toy and run off and the siblings will follow and chase them to get the toy. After about an hour or so of playtime, they go into their indoor play pens and play and nap for a couple hours before the next round of outdoor playtime. They are still little escape artists and want to explore a new areas of the yard. They can leap pretty high now. They eat very well and very eagerly. We have puppy feeding bowls so they have learned to eat together respectfully. The puppies go into a crate at night and they do very well in the crate - they sleep together and use the pee pads that are in a corner of the crate. They getting crate trained fairly quickly. They love every stranger and dog they meet!

More about this rescue

Laila's Legacy missions is to ensure every homeless dog - including those with behavioral or physical challenges - that comes through our doors has a chance at a better life while educating the public on breed bias, individualistic training, and the importance of spay-neuter to lower the impact of returned and abandoned animals in shelters.
