Anastasia came to use from SEAACA (Southeast Area Animal Control Authority) on March 23rd. She is 11 years old and weighs 26 lbs.
Anastasia is so sweet that she immediately earned the honor of being a lobbyist! A lobbyist is what we lovingly call Frosted Faces who get along very well with other dogs and enjoy seeing all the volunteers and visitors that come and go everyday.
In the time since beautiful Anastasia arrived, she attended a 15th birthday party for a volunteer's dog! She rode nicely in the car, went for a short walk at the park, enjoyed attenion from the people at the party, and did great with all the dogs that were there.
Anastasia went on a two-week Frosted Fling and grew stronger thanks to the loving care she received from our on-site veterinary team and in her fling home. Here is what we learned from her Fling Mom:

- Cat-friendly / Dog-friendly / Kid-friendly
- More "super senior than "active adult
- Learns quickly and looks for direction
- Low maintenance, slow walker - open to stroller rides but likes to walk
- Last weighed in at 26 pounds, like a mini retriever-mix
-Sleeps through the night
- Goes with the flow
- Potty-trained and lets you know when she needs to go out
- Enjoys car rides
- Needs daily fluids for kidneys but takes it like a champ
- An ok eater, prefers to graze, but encouraged by hand feeding if you're inclined to spoil her
- Likes to hunt for treats
- Very, very soft
- Starting to respond to Ana Banana
Do you like redheads? Do you like a dog with a bed head? And soft, flowing locks? Dogs with muppet-like leggies that would look cute in socks?
Do you like dogs who like short walks? Dogs who walk a block? Or dogs that don't need walks at all? How about dogs that aren't that big and aren't that small?
If you like these things and dogs who are dog friendly and not demanding. Dogs who are sufficient but need a mom or dad in an instant, Ana Banana may be your girl!"
