Meet Hattie
Hattie is a 9-month-old German Shepherd Dog mix puppy. She's great with the other dogs in the home and happy for the canine companionship! She doesn't understand why she has been in rescue so long....

Her ideal home will be an active home. A fenced-in yard is needed. She is the perfect candidate for obedience training. German Shepherds are very intelligent dogs with a strong work ethic. They need plenty of time outside the home to build their social skills. They need lots of mental stimulation to keep them focused on good manners and composure. They make excellent companions, if you have the time to dedicate to them.

IMPORTANT: Please Keep in mind Hattie is 9 months old with a life expectancy of 12 + years. Our guiding principle for adoptions is to seek the right fit for our rescues and the families, including a home that can stay committed to the animal for life.

Adopt Me! Bluegrass Pet Rescue is a tax exempt, 501(c)(3), No Kill Rescue focusing on the adoption of homeless pets. We are also host to "PAWS BEHIND BARS" which is a basic obedience prison training program based out of Luther Luckett Correctional Complex in Oldham County, KY.
