Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Ollie is an affectionate and adventurous companion, and DDB's token "Golden Bachelor." He's an older gentleman at approximately 9 years old, but you'd never guess it! He has a zest for life and a personality bigger than any you've seen. This spunky 55lb pup has the cutest bobbed tail that makes his entire body waggle and wiggle when he's happy and is looking for someone to share it all with!
Ollie is the type of dog that just wants to do everything with his person. He loves car rides, walks in the park, trips to the drive-thru, watching TV, snuggling, and just hanging out. He's more than willing to head to Starbucks for a pup-cup date or cuddle up on the couch for a movie marathon.
Ollie is a people pleaser who enjoys showing off his tricks, practicing new ones, and making his person smile simply from seeing that goofy, crooked, ADORABLE smile of his! He can a bit cautious of new people, but if you break out the snacks, he realizes you're "one of the good ones" and will be your best friend!
Ollie is good with most dogs but prefers older mellow females and dogs who aren't too much in his face. He is a more relaxed soul and would do well with dogs that match his energy. Because he can be iffy with some dogs, he should not go to dog parks, playgroups etc. where he is no longer directly in control with his person. He has not been officially cat tested but he's been fine with cats on his current foster's property outside, as well as been fine with smaller dogs and lives near farm animals and shows no prey drive.
Ollie should not live with small children due to being nervous around them and their energy, but older children are ok.
He walks well on a leash without any reactivity to humans or other dogs, is potty trained, crate trained and listens well when he's called.
If you're looking for a super chill companion dog, Ollie may be the guy for you!
