My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Bonnie, a year-old Golden Retriever/Anatolian Shepherd mix. She's a gentle giant, spayed, and up to date on shots. Bonnie might be shy at first, but she's full of love. She loves to lay at your feet, her beautiful brown eyes asking for a pet. She's not a Livestock Guardian dog but the perfect pet looking for a forever home.

More about this shelter

ICARE is a non-profit organization dedicated to compassionate animal care and alleviating animal suffering. It was established in 2002 and quickly gained momentum, holding a significant public meeting in April 2003, featuring a guest speaker from the Humane Society of Independence County. This meeting led to the election of officers and a Board of Directors.

Today, ICARE operates entirely on the strength of volunteers. These dedicated individuals in Izard County work tirelessly to support the organization’s mission, providing care and relief to animals in need.
