Calvin is a gorgeous black cat who is eager to find a friend for life. He came to our center when his person unfortunately could no longer care for him. It broke his heart, but it’s not stopping him searching for somebody to love. He’s such an affectionate boy and wants a warm lap to cuddle up in. He doesn’t ask for too much other than your companionship.

Famous Fido was founded by Gloria Lissner who has been independently rescuing dogs from the death rows of kill shelters since 1975. She officially opened Famous Fido Rescue & Adoption Alliance in July 2010. All our dogs recieve the necessary vet care and treatment is never refused. Famous Fido has developed a full merchandise line, starting with our all natural dog treats to support our rescue efforts. Our products are available for purchase on our website. The mission of FFRAA is to form an alliance with similar organizations to increase community awareness, public consciences and create a No Kill Nation.
