My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

LOCATION: Atlanta, Georgia
DOB: 01/19/2022

Jackpot is a fun-loving girl and a sweetheart through and through. She adores human affection and is quick to show her appreciation, nudging your hand for more pets whenever you stop. Her favorite pastime might just be lounging on the couch with her people. She's a model housemate most of the time, being both housebroken and non-destructive when left alone indoors. However, don't let her relaxed demeanor fool you—she is bursting with energy and would make an excellent companion for an active individual or family.

With her high energy, she might make a great running partner, eager to hit the trails and explore new paths alongside her favorite human. While she may need some work on her leash manners, her enthusiasm and willingness to learn make her a great candidate for training.

She can be initially wary around new dogs, but she warms up after SLOW, proper introductions. Jackpot does have some quirks to be mindful of, including resource guarding around food and a high prey drive for squirrels. She has been a tad destructive in her attempts to get to other dogs, squirrels, etc that are outside – but not destructive just to be destructive. As such, she may not be the best fit for households with cats or other small animals. Additionally, her impressive jumping abilities mean she'll need a secure, tall fence to keep her safe and contained.

But when it comes to people, Jackpot is an absolute delight. From kids to men to teens, she's shown nothing but love and affection for everyone she meets. While she may not be overly interested in toys or balls, she does enjoy a good bully stick to chew on. She really is a true gem just waiting to find her final loving destination. With her winning personality, unwavering loyalty, and sheer exuberance, she’s sure to bring smiles and delight to her forever family.

Go meet their pets

Our rescues are scattered all over the United States in many different states. Scheduling a meeting would not be a problem. We hold many events throughout the year. You can find the latest news on our facebook page or website.

More about this rescue

To rescue Great Danes from neglect, abuse, and abandonment while providing medical care and individual rehabilitation through our experienced and loving foster home program until we are able to provide each rescued Dane with a qualified, caring, and permanent home that will ensure a good quality of life they deserve.

To assist owners that cannot afford spaying, neutering or heartworm treatment as funds allow while also educating owners on affordable, local spay/neuter clinics, spay/neuter benefits, vaccinations, backyard breeding, behavior, nutrition, and obedience. Additionally, we want to be a link point to other rescues and clubs. Raising awareness around rescues and the Great Dane breed is of great importance to us.

We have been rescuing Great Danes since 2011 and we take pride in the collective love, concern, and dedication we have given to the misunderstood and forgotten Danes. It is our mission to continue to be the voices of the less fortunate Danes and to provide them safety and their birthright to a quality of life filled with love and dignity. You can help us achieve our mission by donating funds, items from our wishlist, items of relevance, your time through volunteering, or by lending your home as a foster.
