My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! I'm Louie- about 6.5 years old. I'm a big boy, currently 18 lbs! I have an autoimmune disease called IMHA (immune mediated anemia)
- Requires daily medication - 1 steroid tablet daily that he takes easily when pilled, very affordable prescription
- Requires bloodwork at least every 6 months to monitor his anemia and organ function.
- His veterinarian does not recommend vaccinations due to his immune status.
- Good with other laid-back cats, does not like dogs, loves people once he has settled in.
- Loves laying in bed or on the couch with you, making biscuits on soft blankets, and playing with catnip toys.
- His favorite treat is rotisserie chicken/turkey or cat grass.
- Current diet is Science Diet dry adult food.

Adopt Me! Bluegrass Pet Rescue is a tax exempt, 501(c)(3), No Kill Rescue focusing on the adoption of homeless pets. We are also host to "PAWS BEHIND BARS" which is a basic obedience prison training program based out of Luther Luckett Correctional Complex in Oldham County, KY.
