My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mike was “arrested” by Independence Police and brought into AWOL but sadly his owners never came for him. Mike is very excited in the run but calms down quickly when you get him our. He is a medium sized dog and is very sweet. Please consider this sweet boy! He has been in the shelter too long and is currently displaying behaviors of shelter stress. He will be leaving to work with a dog trainer and will make a great pet.

Additional adoption info

Animals have to be spayed or neutered prior to leaving the shelter. This is covered completely by the adoption fee if the adopter uses one of our local approved vets. If the adopter wants to have the spay/neuter done by a different vet, AWOL will pay a portion of the cost. All animals leaving prior to being spayed/neutered require a deposit that will be returned to the adopter after proof of spay/neuter.

More about this shelter

AWOL is a volunteer organization dedicated to providing ethical and humane treatment to lost, stray, or abandoned animals, educating the public on animal welfare, and offering affordable spays and neuters.
