My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi I'm Luna! I am about 3 1/2 years old but no one really knows for sure because I just showed up at the shelter one day. They think I might be a weimareiner mix but who knows? I weigh about 50 lbs so Im medium size. I may be a ball of energy, but I'm also a bundle of love! I can be super shy at the beginning but it doesn't take me long to open up and love on you. My parents think I'm the sweetest, and I am, but my high energy and anxiety don't quite match their lifestyle right now. It's not their fault; they're amazing. I just need a home that can keep up with my zoomies and give me the extra love and attention I crave. Plus, who doesn't love peanut butter? That's my jam! My dream day consists of running in a big field and having constant belly rubs. I also love to cuddle with people with on the couch! Rolling in the grass is my favorite pastime, and I sleep like a dream in my crate every night. I know the right family is out there for me, ready to embrace all my quirks and give me the best life a pup could ask for! My current parents really want a good home for me and so if you have any questions about me then don't be afraid to reach out!

If there is another dog in the household, a Meet and Greet is highly recommended.

Our adoption process takes several steps and cannot be completed in one day. All of our volunteers work full time and assist the rescue in their spare time. Please allow 2-3 business days for a response.

* Applicants must be willing to make a ten plus year commitment to their new family member.

* Applicants must commit to daily exercise, walks, trips to the dog park or play in the back yard. A well exercised dog is a happy well behaved dog!

* Applicants living in a rental property must provide proof of pet policy from landlord.

* Applicants must provide a veterinarian reference and if there are existing dogs in the household. All pets must be spayed/neutered and current on all shots and heartworm medication.

*Please allow at least a 7-14 day adjustment period for your new dog. Rescue dogs go thru a lot of changes and need a few days to get used to their new surroundings and adjust. Adopting a dog should be a serious commitment, so please be willing to work out the kinks. Our dogs aren't perfect but with proper training and guidance they make awesome, loving pets.

*Our adoption fees vary based on the age and medical needs of the dogs.
