My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gigi is a sweet girl looking for her forever family. Being curious and observant, she enjoys exploring her surroundings. Gigi is a high energy dog whose favorite activity is playing "soccer." She also loves playing with toys of all kinds and chewing on sticks. Gigi gets along well with other dogs and would prefer a doggie friend to keep her company. After running and playing in the backyard, she enjoys snoozing in the sunshine or curling up on the couch for a nap. She is house-trained, sleeps in a crate night, and is learning to walk on a leash. Gigi would love an active family to teach her commands, play with her, and take her on outdoor adventures.

Another one of Gigi's adorable habits is that she loves to carry her blankets around with her everywhere she goes, it's precious!

More about this rescue

A New Leash on Life has a goal of saving all the adoptable pets about to die in the municipal shelters of Alabama until we become a NO KILL state. We rescue, provide veterinary care, provide a foster home or adoption center spot, and find adopters who are good matches for homeless dogs and cats...AND horses, pigs, rabbits, and any other animal who needs our help. All animals are fully vetted, including spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines, testing (HW for dogs, FIV/Felv for cats), and whatever else they need before adoption.
