My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please contact the Cat Team (catapplications@graspinc.org) for more information about this pet.

DOB:  05/01/12

Maggie is one of twelve cats who was in need of rescue when her owner passed away. She has gained some weight since in foster care, but remains a dainty 6 pounds. She is a “fast-and-furriest” eater, after which she will sometimes try to bury the carcass (i.e., overturn her bowl). She is a short-haired cat with beautiful dilute gray and cream coloring.

Maggie was quite timid upon arrival to her foster home, but in an amusing way. When held, she would burrow into the holder’s clothing to hide. When sitting in her favorite hiding places, she would purr. She has since shown herself to be confident and independent, and was the first of her former housemates to explore the entire foster house and sleep outside of the foster room.  She is playful, but also knows the value of a lap.

She has been fostering with three of her former cat-mates with whom she gets along well. She is nonplussed by her foster family's slightly territorial cat, so is expected to do well with other cats.

If you have the right home for this beautiful girl, apply to adopt her today!

This cat has been combo-tested for Feline Leukemia and FIV, received all age-appropriate vaccinations and is altered.

More about this rescue

G.R.A.S.P. stands for Greece Residents Assisting Stray Pets. GRASP's goal is to give animals, primarily those picked up by Greece Animal Control, a second chance for a safe, happy, and healthy life. Before G.R.A.S.P., Inc. was formed, animals that were not claimed by their owners were routinely euthanized. We also strive to educate the public on the benefits of spay/neuter and the need to tag their pets at all times. G.R.A.S.P., Inc. is a non-profit organization and is completely dependent upon donations from the public.
