My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please contact the Cat Team (catapplications@graspinc.org) for more information about this pet.

DOB:  06/09/10

Rosie is one of twelve cats who was in need of rescue when her owner passed away. She is nearly 14 and is front declawed. She has been trying to lose some weight while in foster care, but she loves kibble and licking gravy. She is a short/medium-haired cat with classic tortoiseshell coloring.

Rosie was scared upon arrival at her foster home. After a few days she was much more comfortable and really took to being brushed, even on her belly. She seems to enjoy human interaction and will come to you whenever you enter the room. She enjoys drinking from a lightly-running faucet.

Rosie has been fostering with three of her former cat housemates with whom she gets along well. Overall, she is quiet and she likes to nap alone. She is looking for a peaceful and loving place to spend the rest of her days.

This cat has been combo-tested for Feline Leukemia and FIV, received all age-appropriate vaccinations and is altered.

More about this rescue

G.R.A.S.P. stands for Greece Residents Assisting Stray Pets. GRASP's goal is to give animals, primarily those picked up by Greece Animal Control, a second chance for a safe, happy, and healthy life. Before G.R.A.S.P., Inc. was formed, animals that were not claimed by their owners were routinely euthanized. We also strive to educate the public on the benefits of spay/neuter and the need to tag their pets at all times. G.R.A.S.P., Inc. is a non-profit organization and is completely dependent upon donations from the public.
