My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you are seriously interested in an animal, we ask that you first fill out an application, tailsofrescue.org  This will be the first step to gaining more information about the animal as well as allow us to know a little bit about you.

Meet Pixie, an adorable and energetic five-month-old pup. Her sweet and loving nature is infectious, making her a joy to be around. While her exact breed mix is unknown, there's a possibility she has some hound lineage in her. At her young age, Pixie already weighs 26 pounds, showcasing her healthy growth. When it comes to walking on a leash, she shows great potential for her age, displaying a positive attitude and eagerness to learn. Pixie is a true adventurer at heart and fearlessly embraces new experiences. She is not afraid to engage in play with male dogs and would make a fantastic companion for an active household. In her previous foster homes, she has interacted well with teenage boys, although her compatibility with cats or livestock is currently unknown. It is recommended that children in the household be at least 10 years old to ensure a harmonious play environment for Pixie

Spayed/Neuiterd, micro chipped, heartworm negative (if of age), dhpp shots, kennel cough vacs., and one year rabies is completed.  Adoption fee is $350.00

We are NOT a first-come-first to adopt a rescue, the best fit for the family and dog is the way we do things.  We do out of town adoptions often, but will not ship animals must come to Redding for pick up.

More about this rescue

Tails of Rescue in Kahoots is a volunteer based, non profit, 501c3 organization that literally saves dogs and cats from shelters euthanasia list. We pull animals from our local shelters we to try to reduce the number of unwanted animals locally. Tails of Rescue in Kahoots is a shelterless rescue (foster based), but animals are in the store daily. We rely on the generosity of our volunteers and foster families to provide short- and long-term care and rehabilitation for our rescues until they can be placed with their forever families.

Our shelter operates solely on your generous donations and the proceeds from in Kahoots. Please consider helping our cause. 100% of your donation will provide food, supplies, and medical care. We don't have any paid employees, only amazing volunteers!
