My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**ALL ADOPTIONS INCLUDE A HOME VISIT, YOU MUST LIVE NEAR BROWARD & PALM BEACH COUNTIES**

Meet the resilient Bronson, a Chihuahua mix with a heart of gold and muscles to match Despite his tough start in life, Bronson is a gentle soul in need of a compassionate human companion to help him overcome his past traumas.

Bronson may startle easily at unfamiliar sights and sounds, but he's quick to seek comfort from his human, wrapping himself around your leg like a protective shield. With a little "sweet talk," he eagerly surrenders to belly rubs, revealing his softer side and trusting you to soothe his worries.

Bronson is on a journey to a healthier lifestyle through fitness walks and a clean diet. He has a small frame with a brawny physique, only 11 pounds

Bronson was rescued after being callously abandoned outside a vet's office, Bronson has endured hardships but hasn't lost his capacity for love. Despite his past, he's quick to cuddle and bestow occasional kisses, eager to forge new bonds and leave his painful memories behind.

At just 2 years old and in good health, Bronson is ready to turn the page on his past and embrace a brighter future with a loving adult family. If you're ready to surround him with kindness and provide the nurturing environment he deserves, Bronson will reward you with unwavering loyalty and affection as he blossoms into a cherished member of your household.

They are treated as family pets while in our care. * All dogs in our care are fed premium brand holistic food as well as supplements and vitamins specific to each dog's needs. We don't buy inexpensive bulk dry kibble, our rescues are fed premium wet food diets as part of a comprehensive rehabilitation program to ensure maximum health. .*All of our rescues receive complete quality vetting including full dental cleaning with pre-op bloodwork, spay/neuter, vaccines, and grooming. Dogs in need of specialized medicine will be seen by specialists, such as full cardiac workups, and ophthalmologist visits, all suspicious lumps, and bumps are biopsied, and every medical need is transparent to potential adopters. *Once you adopt from Get a Life Pet Rescue, you become part of our compassionate family and we are here for you if a problem with your precious dog arises.

More about this rescue

Based out of Broward County and serving the Tri-County area, Get-A-Life Pet Rescue volunteers retrieve pets who have been abandoned and provide them with a chance at the life they deserve. Our animals come from a variety of sources, including Animal Services, owner surrenders and as strays.

Get-A- Life Pet Rescue volunteers, including our Board Members, play an active role in finding the animals a safe and happy home. All our pets are given a full veterinary exam. They are vaccinated, spayed/neutered, micro chipped, put on heartworm/flea & tick prevention medication as well as dental & grooming services as needed. Donations are very critical as they assist us in giving each pet full medical treatment, physical and behavioral rehabilitation and the necessities that allow them to thrive in their "forever home". Because Get-A-Life Pet Rescue doesn’t have a facility to house the pets as they are rescued, each pet is matched with an appropriate foster home in the Tri-County area. With individual fostering, we are able to provide interested applicants with details on the pet's personality and provide a needs list to allow the pet a tranquil transition.

Our volunteers promote responsible adoptions and lifelong relationships with the adopter’s new pet. We educate all adopters and provide them with all tools necessary to have a balanced and happy lifelong pet. Our ultimate goal at Get-A-Life Pet Rescue is to increase humane awareness through education, resulting in the humane treatment of animals, and reduction of the over population and abuse problems of today.
