Jake is a 6 yr old 75 lb 100% house broken German shepherd with obedience skills and leash manners on point . He is weary of new people as well as typical shepherd anxious tendencies in a kennel. He is dog reactive but possibly in the future can be maintained and possibly improve with the right training and owners as he really hasn't ever been around other dogs and is more nervous and unsure of new situations. He loves hiking and water and we recommend Kids 16+ and no cats.

We ask all potential adopters to fill out an adoption application which allows us to check certain points of reference (vets, home ownership status, previous pets, etc). If the application looks good, the adopter signs the adoption contract which states, among other things, the animal(s) will have a permanent home with said adopter and if for any reason this becomes impossible, the animal must be returned to Four Legs Good. Four Legs Good reserves the right to place a follow-up phone call or visit, with notice, within the first year of adoption.

Four Legs Good is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to providing the most humane treatment of Rockland County animals in need. We started as a small group of dedicated volunteers who decided to make a difference in the lives of feral, homeless and abandoned animals. We are currently working out of the RG CARES Animal Shelter.
