My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! My name is Feyd. I came to RASKC as a stray and now I`m looking for a new home.

I`m a Dutch Shepherd! If you`ve never heard of us, please do a little research so we can get off on the right paw. I`m a very shy boy which is pretty typical for my breed. However, when I get to know a person, I am an absolute velcro dog and very sweet. I`m a big leaner - I love to lean into my person and get all the pets and reassurance. I can be scared in new situations, I need more socialization and a family that will advocate for my personal space while I gain confidence and learn the world is so not scary. I am crazy smart! I learned my new name in just a day and impressed everyone with picking up commands like `come`, `sit` and `stay` very quickly.

Dutch Shepherds are a highly trainable but sensitive breed that will do best in active homes with families dedicated to training and socialization. I would love someone who can teach me lots of commands and games, take me for long walks, hikes or swims, and spend time lounging with me when all the work is done.

I am currently 52lbs but I`m a lanky, awkward teen and will continue to grow and gain weight as I get a bit older. I will likely be around 60-65lbs when I am done growing and filling out.

My personality color is BLUE. I am a gentle and loving dog who likes to take things slow. I may get nervous in new situations, so I am looking for a family who understands that I might take some time to warm up. Once I get to know you, I will be a very devoted friend!
