Meet Doris: Your Gentle Senior Companion

Are you seeking a serene and loving companion to share your days with? Look no further than Doris! This graceful older cat is on the lookout for a peaceful and secure forever home where she can bask in the warmth of your love during her golden years.

Doris's journey hasn't been easy. She was abandoned on the side of the road in the countryside, left to fend for herself against the harsh elements. Thankfully, kind-hearted locals came to her rescue, providing her with shelter and comfort until she found her way to us.

At first glance, Doris may appear a bit shy, but beneath her initial reserve lies a heart full of love waiting to blossom. She longs for a calm and patient environment where she can rebuild her trust and confidence with humans. With a gentle touch and a warm heart, you can help Doris rediscover the joy of companionship.

Doris dreams of a home where she can be the sole recipient of your affection, where she can be the center of your world and receive all the attention she deserves. In return, she promises to be a devoted and loyal companion, bringing peace and tranquility to your home.

If you believe your home could be the perfect sanctuary for Doris's twilight years, we invite you to apply online at eastshoreha.org. Once your application is approved, our dedicated staff will be in touch to arrange a special meet-and-greet, where you can welcome Doris into your heart and home.

Don't miss this opportunity to provide Doris with the loving and safe haven she deserves. Apply now, and let Doris grace your life with her gentle presence and unwavering affection.

Additional adoption info

Before You Adopt: Please consider these factors before filling out an application:

1. Animals are expensive to care for. They require food, shelter, toys, grooming, and veterinary health and dental care.

2. Animals require attention. You have to clean up after their messes, protect them from anything that might harm them, and make sure they get adequate play time and exercise. Some require training, which takes patience, love, and commitment.

Adopting a Friend: Adopter will fill out an application to start the adoption process. We don't adopt on a first come, first served basis, but instead adopt based on what we feel is in the animal's best interest. We DO NOT ship animals.

Adoption Requirements:

1. Have verifiable identification

2. Be at least 18 years of age

3. If renting, have landlords consent to bring a pet to your home

4. All adopted pets must be spayed or neutered

5. All pets must leave the shelter on a collar and leash, or in a pet carrier

6. Agree to all terms of the adoption contract; ESHA reserves the right to deny any application
