What's better than one superhero? TWO superheros flying through the air, fighting crimes and bringing smiles to everyone they meet. Well, maybe not fighting crime exactly...but if you have ever had the pleasure to meet the beautiful Reba and handsome Bryson you know the joy they can bring. As they gallop and leap through the air searching for dangerous puddles to invade, they are determined to keep the community safe from these puddle hazards. They will gather up those rebellious Frisbees and eliminate that threat also. Reba's super power is B&E, stealth lock picking and surveillance. She can see through walls and knows exactly how much food Bryson has left in his bowl. She has been known to break out of her playyard, just to break INTO the other play yard to render aid to a helpless creature in need. She patrolls on night watch to keep peace in the kennels. Bryson is the muscle of the tesm. He lets Reba construct the plan and he goes with the flow and follows her orders to carry out the mission. Much like the crime solving team of Elastigirl and Mr Incredible, they provide comic relief and get the job done one way or another and leave everyone laughing as they go. These crime solvers are designing a master plan as we speak, to break out of HSWC where their cover has been to infiltrate the front office and place orders for more knuckle bones and kibble. That having been accomplished they are now moving on to operation Adopt us! (Or Break Out as Bryson calls it) the mission: Both getting adopted together to solve problems and leap through your living room. No space is too small for wrestling. They often share a 4x6 kennel happily plotting and scheming (while tossing toys and curling up with a good chew bone). They are very content in whatever circumstance they are in. They have been on this mission for 6 months and never complained. They are very compatible superheroes that compliment each others strengths. They realize their next mission is a delicate one. Work their way into the hearts of a man, woman, perhaps and active couple? Use their super powers to convince them to adopt them together to fight crime as a family unit. Our adoption fees are as follows:
Puppy (0-12 months): $200
Adult Dog (1-5 years): $175
Senior Dog (6+ years): $85
Senior to Senior Program: any person over 65 yrs of age wanting to adopt any pet over 7 yrs of age: adoption fee is waived

The Humane Society of Wicomico County was started in 1968 by a group of people who wanted to help improve the lives of animals. We have come a long way in our 40+ years! We have a staff dedicated to making sure the animals that come to our doors are loved and protected as they wait for their forever home. Not only are our animals vaccinated, wormed and given flea preventative, we can treat animals that come to us with mange, ringworm, heartworm and pay for animals to be seen by an outside vet should there be a need. We have an on-site spay/neuter clinic that not only is used for our animals but we also offer low cost spay/neuter for animals of the public. We provide emergency boarding for victims of domestic abuse, fire, and medical emergencies. We also have the capability to set up an off-site emergency shelter for people evacuated from their homes. In addition, we have an education program to help teach kids about being a responsible pet guardian. We work with a wide range of rescue groups and our animals have been transported from our mid-Atlantic area throughout the North Eastern United States. Our shelter is an open admission shelter and we will take in approximately 3500 animals this year. We do what we do because of our love for animals and our desire to make a difference in their lives every single day.
