My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Eileen - The Delicate Dilute Torti with a Heart of Gold!

Eileen is a young adult dilute torti cat whose gentle demeanor and unique coloring make her a true gem. With a shy but sweet personality, Eileen is ready to find a loving home where she can blossom and share her affectionate nature.

Eileen's personality is a mix of occasional playfulness, energy, calmness, and laid-back charm. While she may be shy at first, she rarely feels fearful, showing a quiet confidence in her surroundings. She is sometimes curious, especially when watching the world from the window, a favorite pastime of hers.

As a cat-selective feline, Eileen may or may not get along with other cats, and she tends to avoid or ignore dogs. While she sometimes engages with toys on the floor, she prefers quiet lounging sessions and gentle playtime with her human fosters.

Although she hasn't been exposed to children in her foster home, Eileen is social and friendly with adults, although she can be reserved with strangers initially. She tolerates being handled, but being groomed and looking out the window are activities she particularly enjoys.

Eileen is a shy girl who blossoms within a few hours of being introduced to a new environment. She loves the attention and care of her human companions, especially when it comes to grooming and cuddling. While she may not be the most active player with other kitties, she thrives on human interaction and affection.

If you're looking for a gentle and loving companion who appreciates quiet moments and enjoys the simple pleasures in life, Eileen is the perfect match. Don't miss the chance to welcome this delicate torti into your home and experience the love and companionship she has to offer!

Go meet their pets

We are a foster based rescue. Adoption events are held regularly in the community at Petco Winchester and some kittens are housed at the Petco in Warrenton. Additional events are held at area festivals, wineries, breweries, and parks. Approved adopters can schedule a private meet and greet with their chosen pet.

More about this rescue

Shady’s Paw Animal Rescue works to improve the lives of cats and the people who care for them in Lake Holiday and the surrounding areas through 1) TNR and colony management, 2) fostering and adoptions, 3) educating the public on best practices for feline care in the home or colony setting, and 4) supporting the needs of cats in the communities we serve.
