Meet Duke, the charming Schiller and Black and Tan Coonhound born in August 2023, weighing in at 39.6 lbs. Initially timid, Duke is gradually coming out of his shell, showing promising improvement in leash training. He enjoys a lively game of fetch, always eager to outrun his brother to the ball.
The Schillerstövare is known for its high intelligence and trainability. Valued for both its spirited temperament and robust hunting skills, the Schiller is an amiable and energetic breed. While they may be cautious around strangers, they develop deep attachments to their owners. With their intense loyalty and profound affection, Schillers can become excellent family pets.
Duke is neutered, fully vaccinated, dewormed, heartworm and flea and tick treated and micro-chipped. $115 rescue adoption fee applies. After the application approval, we set up a meet and greet with you, the animal you are wanting to adopt and any pet's you may have in order to see how everyone gets along. If all goes well we finalize the adoption. Our adoption fees vary from animal to animal.
What the adoption fee covers:
* All medical -up to date on vaccinations including Rabies, flea and tick treated, started on heartworm prevention (for dogs and pups over 6 months), spayed or neutered, (for dogs and pups over 6 months) and micro-chipped. In certain cases, some of our rescues require an extensive amount of medical treatment to get them healthy. We will spare no expense when it comes to the health and wellbeing of our animals. Extensive medical costs will never be passed on to the adopting family; but your adoption fee does help us recover some of the costs.
*Supplies you will receive with adoption – leash and collar.
