My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Beatrix is from a group of cats abandoned by someone we believe was breeding them. We don't know their history but all of the cats have the appearance of being British Shorthair mix. They appear to be in good health.

Beatrix has a lovely, very soft grey tabby fur coat with brown highlights, and amber eyes. She has her adult teeth but is not full grown - our estimate is 6 months old. Beatrix is still a bit shy from her sudden change in circumstances, but she has warmed up greatly and happily accepts pets and squeeze tube treats! She does like affection.

All of the cats in this group have received their FVRCP vaccination. The adoption fee will be set to cover the cost of neuter/spay, rabies shots and any minor treatment they may need. Once an adopter-kitty match has been agreed upon RAIN will coordinate the spay/neuter, and post surgery the kitty will go home with you.

For more information regarding adoption of one of these kitties, you may call Meghan at home 530 474-1729 or text Judy at 530 209-5139.

Additional adoption info

We are in a rural location and cover a large area with small communities far apart. We tailor our adoption process to fit the needs of each adoption, whether it be a home visit or other specific situation. Adoptions are allowed to proceed only after careful checking of the situation for each animal.

RAIN Thrift store is open daily at the address above. Adopters can meet the pets there that are currently available for adoption. We're in the process of setting up with other websites to add our photos to expand coverage for our adoptable pets.

More about this rescue

Rescued Animals In Need is a no kill organization whose main focus is rescuing lost, abandoned, abused, neglected or unwanted animals and helping them find their forever homes. We work hard to reduce the number of unwanted dogs and cats by providing education and financial assistance (when available) for spay/neuter programs to help prevent unwanted and uncontrolled pregnancies for animals in our communities. Including a program for the voiceless and often ignored feral cats. We have full non-profit 501(c)3 status with the State of California.
