Zion is ready for adoption, and his personality is starting to blossom. Zion came from a home where he was kept in awful conditions and cats were allowed to breed freely in a home with one resident. He got little interaction at the beginning of his life, so adjusting to his new home here at the rescue has been a long process. We are so amazed to see him come out of his shell, and the other day he was letting a nine-year-old pick him up and carry him around. I was proud of how tolerant and comfortable he was in the room with her. Once he takes a few moments to get to know you he turns into a major flirt. He loves to purr and rub up on your hands. He will make the perfect addition to a home where his new family is willing to go slow but love him with all their heart.
Zion loves food and we have used that as an extremely useful tool to earn his trust. Despite all that Zion has been through in his brief life, he has managed to adjust well to living with us. However, he needs a loving owner who can give him the individual attention he deserves. We can't help but feel saddened by all he has gone through, but we are hopeful that someone out there is willing to take a chance on him. Since we don't have a single physical location we do meet and greets by appointment only. Our meet and greets will be held at a local vet clinic in Colleyville where you will get to meet the kittens you selected to see.

Rainbow Kitten Rescue is an independent rescue based out of Dallas Texas, just a passionate vet tech looking to give back to the community. Our goal is to take some of the strain off shelters and larger rescues, helping wherever we can. I advocate for spaying/neuter and will occasionally assist with TNVR but we are mainly here as a foster home to help kittens adjust to new lives eventually. We provide a dog and cat-filled home to ensure our fosters are comfortable with all types of pets. We love our adopters with canine friends!
