The shelter is a very noisy and busy place for a quiet girl like me. My story is like many of the faces you may see up for adoption in shelters and rescues all over the United States. My owners fell ill and could no longer care for me. I am now in search of another home to put my paws down for good. A place to keep me warm, safe, happy and receive the proper care I deserve.
I am nervous of course with new people. I would do my best in a quiet setting with a physically fenced yard. The behavior I have exhibited since arriving, a fence is required. Pending a meet and greet, I should do well with another dog which has a laid-back personality. I was with a cat in my previous home and should adjust to a dog friendly cat. I will be afraid of children. I may be okay with teenage children and may adjust to visiting children. I appear crate trained and had been house trained. Once I adjust to my new surroundings and have a schedule, I am comfortable with it will all come back to me.
I am still adjusting to the shelter. I sure would love to find a home where I can relax and enjoy life.
