My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet the goodest girl around, Casey! She is a 5 year old Retriever Mix that is looking for a family to give her all of the love and affection she deserves! Casey was originally adopted from us as a puppy, but was surrendered to an animal control facility, because her previous owners could not house her due to their landlord. Casey is still adjusting to being back in the shelter, so she is a bit nervous with new people, but once you give her some treats and pets she will be your new bestie! Casey has done well with other dogs, but she doesn't really care for when they jump all over her. That being said, if there are other dogs in the home we will need to do a meet and greet to make sure everyone gets along! Casey is potty trained, but she may need some help adjusting to the routine in her new home. This sweet girl is current on her vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, and spayed so she's ready to come home with you today! Come meet this gorgeous girl at the Waggin' Tails Adoption Center in Benbrook, open every day from 12-6 pm! Please give us a call at 817-249-3647 if you have any questions!

More about this shelter

Our History
The Humane Society of North Texas (HSNT) was founded in 1905 and is the oldest animal welfare organization in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. While the organization’s name has evolved from the Fort Worth Humane Society in 1905, to the Tarrant County Humane Society in 1910, to the Humane Society of North Texas in 1982, its focus has always been on caring for animals in need. HSNT provides services such as pet adoptions, low-cost spay/neuter surgeries and vaccinations, returning lost pets to their owners, cruelty investigations and humane euthanasia. HSNT operates four pet adoption centers and a quarantine facility in Tarrant County, as well as an equine and livestock ranch located in Johnson County.
