Beautiful Taylor is a 4-month old, ~15 lbs Weimaraner/Lab; another dream puppy from the litter of eight we rescued who got abandoned on a dirt road. Her foster mom (in the Hamptons, NY) says she’s super sweet altho a little shy at first. She needs a home with another friendly dog and no young children. She's curious and brave… still working on potty training as to be expected but she’s doing well. She's pretty calm for a puppy her age but I think she’s still coming out of her shell in that regard. She is vaccinated and microchipped.
We require adopters to have a safe and secure backyard - not electric or Fido fences as they are not as safe at containing dogs or keeping other animals or people out. For these reasons we do not adopt to homes with electric or Fido fencing.
The adoption fee is $675 which includes age appropriate vaccines, microchip, monthly flea, tick and heart worm preventatives at time of adoption and age appropriate spay/neuter.

After the application has been completed and approved we arrange for potential adopters to meet our pups and dogs in their foster homes. We also occasionally have adoption events which are listed on our Facebook Page.

Gimme Shelter Animal Rescue is a 501c3 nonprofit organization based on Long Island NY. We rescue dogs and puppies who are at risk of being euthanized in high-kill facilities across the South. Every animal we rescue is quarantined where they get vaccinated and given any medical attention needed to get them healthy. We then transport the animals up to NY where they go into our wonderful foster homes until we find them all pre screened loving forever homes. We will adopt out-of-state on a case by case basis, including, but not limited to, New Jersey, Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Pennsylvania.
Our goal is to find the best possible homes for our animals, to ensure a life-long loving commitment. We are dedicated to the well-being of our animals. One by One until there are none!
