My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ruby, an affectionate and mature 5-year-old weighing 66 pounds, is on the quest for a new loving home. Beyond her mature demeanor, Ruby brings the unique advantage of being impeccably house-trained, showcasing her ability to be a calm and well-behaved companion even when left alone for extended hours, wanting only love and companionship in return.

This little lady walks fairly well on a leash and has a playful side. She loves fetching tennis balls. However, her playful side can easily transition into the role of couch potato and best friend just ready for some quality “cuddle time”.

While she adores people, her discernment with dog friends adds a touch of individuality. Ruby would do best as the only dog in a home as her humans are her “everything”. Her compatibility with cats is unknown. We always do a meet-n-greet with any potential fur siblings to make certain that all are compatible.

Ruby was recently adopted but returned due to the fact that she can become quite nervous when in a car or left alone in a car for brief periods. Her recent adopters travel a lot and it was felt that this would not be a comfortable life for her. Ruby may not be a dog in which auto travel is a big part of her life, but as a house dog, she is a wonderful girl.

If Ruby sounds like she may be a good fit for your life and home, message us here or call 352-528-9888 to set up an appointment to meet her.
