Everyone say hello to Cocoa!!! Cocoa is a sweet and docile 12 year old/ 27 lb chocolate boy who was given up by his family after a lifetime of loyal devotion to them- sadly this happens thru no fault of a dog- people just "move on" to the next chapter of their life and discard their senior pets. BUT not to worry- FCCR has a heart for seniors and Cocoa is one very special and loving boy- this little man is absolutely a golden child with perfect manners to go along with him. Cocoa only sees shadows due to mature cataracts and he is a bit hard of hearing - nonetheless he will follow you when treats are being handed out and will explore the yard with his four-legged foster siblings too. Cocoa is looking for a friend and companion that will embrace him in his senior years...and he will in turn devote himself to you . Florida Coastal Cocker Rescue (FCCR) is a non-profit organization located in SW Florida. We are dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and re-homing Cocker Spaniels throughout the state of Florida and neighboring states. We rely 100% on donations and volunteers to help us take care of our dogs. All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccines and rabies, heartworm tested, flea and heartworm treatment, and microchip.
FCCR carefully screens all of our potential furever and foster homes to ensure that our pups will have safe and loving homes. Some of our dogs come from shelters and abusive situations and we want to make sure that they will only see love the rest of their lives.
