My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Evart! He is approximately 3 years old and around 53 lbs. He is some sort of mixed breed with probably some shepherd and staffy in the mix.

Evart has been done wrong in his past life. He is a little hand shy and feels the need to keep whatever he deems his. He is kinda selfish in that way. Evart needs a leader to continue to teach and work with him on trading up, drop it, and leave it. It will take time to build trust and a bond with him as his previous family failed him. He is an under confident dog who needs a confident person to boost up his self esteem. Evart is playful and connecting. He loves extra attention and will look to his person for guidance. He is enjoying learning and being rewarded with treats.

Evart will need an adult only home that is calm, patient, and willing to put in the effort to help him be the best dog he can be. A meet and greet with your dog will be needed to see if Evart and your dog are compatible.

If you are interested in Evart and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend!

*Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.**
