My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Joel is a handsome 2-year old male Hound/Labrador Retriever mix who was brought to the HSOV on February 23, 2024 after he was found at the intersection of Walnut Street/Blennerhassett Avenue in Belpre Ohio. Joel was accompanied by three 6-month old female puppies (Ellie, Riley, and Sarah). None of these precious pups were wearing a collar, and they were not microchipped.

Joel has a tricolor coat, no tail, and a cute face with dark brown eyes, a brown mask and short floppy ears.

We took first photos of Joel on February 24th when there had been unexpected snow showers which were still covering the ground. Joel looked adorable in those photos, but now that the Spring weather has arrived they looked very dated (frown).

These updated photos of Joel were taken on March 25, 2024 when HSOV Kennel Techs Hayley Sturm and Hannah McClain teamed up to treat Joel to fun-and-games and extra TLC while he posed for his glamour shots. Joel was in the height of his glory being surrounded by these two beautiful girls who lavished attention and kisses upon him. Joel is definitely a 'chick magnet' (smile)

This sweet boy has a friendly, outgoing personality and is a pushover for attention.

Joel appears to be good with other dogs though he may prefer the company of females more than other male dogs.

Joel weighs 47 lbs and is still perfecting his walking-on-a-leash skills.

In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Joel was held for three days so that his family would have an opportunity to reclaim him with proof of ownership. Surprisingly nobody called or came looking for this awesome dog.

Joel will be neutered in the near future and will soon be looking for his dream home. Joel could also be fostered with an approved HSOV Foster/Adoption Application.
