My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Apply to Adopt Me!

NOTE: Bambi and Bowie are a bonded pair and must be adopted together.
Bambi is a playful, loveble tiny little girl that wants nothing more than to sit on her human’s lap and give kisses. She is a small chihuahua mix weighing 5 1/2 lbs, and we are estimating her to be around 2 years old. Bambi was found as a stray in a park with her brother Bowie. Bambi’s first concern is Bowie’s safety and comfort. She watches out for him. But don’t let this “fawn like” creature fool you. She is a mighty little chihuahua. She does not like strangers, at first. And she does not like children. But she warms up quickly and in about 10 minutes was friends with her foster mom, climbing up on her lap for pets. Bambi and Bowie do need to be fed separately. She will take his food; and he will gladly give it to her if they are not supervised. Bambi is house trained and crate trained; and is able to be left alone without an issue. We are not sure if Bambi likes cats, but she is small dog friendly, and she plays with her foster fur siblings.  Bambi appears to be afraid of men, but with some love and patience she will warm up to whoever loves on her. Bambi is easy to handle on a leash when walked.  Due to Bambi’s small size, we are requiring an all-adult home for her, as well as a secure fenced-in yard. If you live in the Central Florida/Orlando area and believe you have the perfect home for Bowie and Bambi, please send in an application and let us know more your family.

More about this rescue

We are a small 501(c)3 dog rescue. We take owner surrenders and we pull from local shelters. We, like so many others, are just trying to make a difference.
