My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Huxley. He is super sweet but scared at the moment as he just lost his home. He is 11 years old and healthy. He loves pets and has a loud purr. He will shake his butt and jump into your arms. He is being rehomed due to no fault of his own. He has been very loved for 11 years and is looking for his new person to give him the love he so wants and deserves.
He is neutered, microchipped, and FeLV/FIV negative.
If you would like more information about Huxley please go to our website at www.southerncountiesrescue.org and complete our online application.
Thanks.

More about this rescue

We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 non-profit cat rescue group. We rescue abandoned cats & kittens from the streets and high kill city animal shelters in Orange, Los Angeles, Imperial and San Diego counties.
We also help people who need to rehome their pets through our Community Foster Program in that we post the cats on our internet sites and accept applications for them. We also help the owner screen applicants and bring their cats to our adoption events but we cannot physically take them since we are foster based. We do not have a physical shelter, we foster in our homes, not in cages which is a more natural environment for cats.
Lastly, we help reduce the number of unwanted kittens with TNR (Trap-Neuter/spay-Release) by loaning traps and instructing others on how to TNR and by referring people to low-cost S/N clinics.
