My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Goliath a super sweet gentle giant.
Goliath is a big young cat who will eventually be extra large when full grown. Right now he is a lanky one year old growing into his feet, all play and affection. Our vet expects him to be 20 lbs when he fills out. Good with some kitties and we expect will be with cat friendly dogs once he knows them.
Goliath is currently an alpha cat and can be an only cat in household. We don't know how he spent his first year but we suspect someone had him as a single kitten because he wants to play with other kitties but he really doesn't know how without sometimes being too rough. He was neutered when rescued as a very skinny kitty so he either got lost or was abandoned and did not know how to fend for himself on the street.
His ideal new family will be an experienced cat owner who can work with him to be less aggressive in play and redirect to things like kicker toys. He loves to play, excellent biscuit maker, and loves to cuddle.
Goliath is just over a year old, neutered, vaccinated, negative for FELV/FIV, dewormed, flea free and microchipped.
To meet this handsome boy Goliath, please go to our website SouthernCountiesRescue.org and fill out an adoption questionnaire.

More about this rescue

We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 non-profit cat rescue group. We rescue abandoned cats & kittens from the streets and high kill city animal shelters in Orange, Los Angeles, Imperial and San Diego counties.
We also help people who need to rehome their pets through our Community Foster Program in that we post the cats on our internet sites and accept applications for them. We also help the owner screen applicants and bring their cats to our adoption events but we cannot physically take them since we are foster based. We do not have a physical shelter, we foster in our homes, not in cages which is a more natural environment for cats.
Lastly, we help reduce the number of unwanted kittens with TNR (Trap-Neuter/spay-Release) by loaning traps and instructing others on how to TNR and by referring people to low-cost S/N clinics.
