My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dylan is heartworm positive and $465 needs to be raised for his treatment before he can be adopted.

This handsome pup was discovered as a stray outside of our shelter. Now, Dylan is eagerly awaiting his chance to find a forever home with an experienced dog owner who understands his need for ongoing training and guidance. Dylan is a bright spark, bursting with energy and a keen willingness to learn. With his insatiable appetite and boundless enthusiasm for food, his food motivation makes him a quick study, and he thrives on the mental stimulation that training provides. Dylan revels in his daily playtime. We are unsure how Dylan does with other animals, and he will do best in a home with no children. To meet Dylan, please call 843-249-4948 to schedule an appointment, or you can submit an application at https://humanesocietynmb.org/dog-adoption-form/

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

HSNMB does not hold animals and all adoptions are done on a first-come, first-served basis in person at the shelter. Once the adoption is completed and the fee is paid, you must take the animal with you at that time.

Please be sure to bring a photo ID and cash or a credit card for the adoption fee. The primary caregiver is required to be present to go through the adoption process. Any children 5 and under and, in some cases, any existing dogs living in the home will be required to be present and meet the animal prior to adopting. Meet and greets are not required for all animals, but may be deemed necessary by HSNMB staff for specific pets.

Adoption Fees:
Cats (over 6 months of age): $60
Kittens (under 6 months of age): $100
Dogs (over 6 months of age): $110
Puppies (under 6 months of age): $140
Seniors ages 60 and up qualify for discounted adoptions fees.
