Hey there, I'm Amber, the adventurous and confident senior German Shepherd! I've had my fair share of experiences, and I've come out on top every time. My humans love me for my friendly demeanor and my independent streak—I like to explore on my own and check out the yard, but I'm always happy to have my humans by my side.
House manners? No problem at all. I'm a perfect lady indoors, content to relax on my bed or gaze out the sliding door at the world outside. And when it comes to accidents, well, let's just say I'm not a fan of bad weather either!
As for crates, I haven't needed one. My humans say I've been such a good girl that there's been no need to try it out.
Nighttime? I'm happy to curl up on my bed or the 'dog' couch—wherever I can get a cozy spot.
Now, about that bark... I'll give a little raspy bark here and there, just to let my humans know I need some attention. And if I'm left in the car for a minute, you might find me trying to take over the driver's seat! I do love to go for rides.
Toys? Meh, not really my thing. I'm more into napping and exploring. Walking? Sure, I'm up for it, but I'll admit I start to tire out towards the end of a mile.
Other dogs? No problem at all. I get along just fine, although I'm not really one for playing. I'm more of a hang-out-and-chill kind of gal.
Cats? Well, I've been known to pull towards them on walks, but I haven't had a chance to meet one up close yet.
Leash walking? Easy peasy. No reactivity here—I just stroll along, taking in the sights and sounds.
Training? Just the basics for me, but I'm a quick learner. Sit? No problem!
And the best part about me? I'm a great explorer. Whether it's the yard or the house, I'm always up for checking out something new. Sure, I've got some hind end weakness, but that doesn't slow me down—I've still got plenty of adventures left in me!
I hope you'd like to meet me! I'll be waiting with my foster family in Pioneer.

BAGSR is always in need of fosters. There is an overwhelming number of dogs who need our help and the more fosters we have, the more dogs we can save. BAGSR covers expenses, including food. Fosters provide the love and a soft place to crash.
