UPDATE 4-12-24: Check out Aurora's and Balto's video on our Summit Dog Rescue website! https://www.summitdogrescue.org/meet-aurora--balto-courtesy-post.html

Meet Aurora and Balto, and please share!
They're a wonderful pair of Huskies, stressed in the shelter.
Transport is available to the right adopter(s). Aurora and Balto could be separated if necessary. 😟
These are terrible times for shelter dogs. Our amazing friends at Friends of Prairie Grove Pound reached out to us for help getting the word out:
“We have TWO beautiful and sweet Huskies who need an adopter or adopters! These two have been inseparable for quite some time and we would hate to separate them, but we know it would be difficult to adopt them out together. Good thing is they are good with other dogs at the pound, keep a clean kennel and just want companionship from people. They are very stressed at the shelter and this is extremely hard on us and them. We want to see them thriving in their new homes."
Aurora (3-year-old female) and Balto (5-year-old male) deserve a new lease on life and someone who can provide them a loving, FOREVER home. They have been spayed/neutered, current on vaccinations and microchipped.

Thank You Friends and PLEASE SHARE!!!!! ❤️🐾.

If everyone agrees this is a good match, the board approves the adoption.

Additional adoption info
First you must fill out an application which we will review. Then we will do a phone interview, reference check and finally a home visit before a dog is placed in your home. We ONLY adopt to homes where the dog is an indoor dog, part of the family and treated as such. We stress excellent nutrition, proper training and follow up with all our adopters.
We are probably have one of the more thorough and difficult adoption processes... and we love that people want to adopt and don't want to discourage adopters! So please, if you're in a hurry, or not an exceptional furever home - please try other rescues or a SHELTER is a great option too!
