PA Kennel License #5254Wags Rescue & ReferralSouthampton Pa 18966 Available 4/7/2024 Altered Originated fromAllmons All About Animals DL# 17277Blackshear GA 31516 They say time heals all wounds and that is never more true with a rescue dog who has been abandoned and abused. Monica came into rescue with nine puppies and her sister. She has physical scars on her body and emotional scars we can only imagine. We dont know what she endured before, but now she knows a full belly, plenty of pets and lots of love. She is working on overcoming the emotional scars, she is timid when meeting new people, but is willing to give them a chance, especially if they have a treat in hand. Monica is about a year old and weighs just under 50 lbs. She will need an understanding family who can go slowly to show her that she is loved and show her how to be a dog. She loves curling up in a dog bed or on the couch next to you. She takes treats gently. She was even chasing balls in the yard and attempting to play with toys in the house. Monica walks nicely on a leash but does get a little nervous if there are loud noises or new people. Monica is good in her crate and has done well with housetraining on a regular schedule. She is starting to go to the door when she needs to go out. Monica gets along with other dogs and was cat tested in Georgia and did not bother the cats. She will need slow introductions to any other pets because she does get nervous if they are too in her face at first meet. Monica is spayed and up to date on her vaccinations and monthly preventatives. Please visit our website www.wagsrescue.org to learn more about this amazing dog and Wags Rescue.
