MEET CUARTO:
Hi there! My name is Cuatro, but you can call me Four for short. I'm one of the lucky dogs who was rescued from a recent hoarding case. You see, there were over 50 Chihuahuas living in a home with an elderly lady, and thankfully, we were all given a chance at a better life.
Even though I'm young, I haven't had much socialization in my past. But don't worry, I'm a quick learner and I'm looking forward to finding a patient and understanding forever family who will help me come out of my shell. I do well with other dogs my size, so if you already have a furry friend, we might just become the best of pals. I would do best in a home with another small dog to help me continue to come out of my shell. I also do well with the company of dog savvy cats.
I should mention that fast movements tend to scare me, so if you have young children in your home, it will make me anxious. I would do best without them in a home. I really want to find a calm and understanding environment where I can feel safe and loved.
A fenced yard is a must for me because, well, I'm not leash trained just yet. But no worries, I'm currently working on that and with consistent training, I'm sure I'll get the hang of it. Unfortunately, given my past I do not have the potty skills I should, but I'm learning. I absolutely love playing with toys, so having a few of those around would definitely make me a happy pup!
Once I feel comfy in my surroundings, I'll happily snuggle up next to you. It just takes a little time for me to trust and understand that the world isn't such a scary place after all. I'm really hoping to find that special someone who will show me that not all humans are bad.
So, if you have a kind heart, lots of patience, and the determination to help me become the best version of myself, I'd be forever grateful. Can you give me the loving forever family I've been dreaming of? Let's embark on this journey together and show me that life is full of love and happiness.

OUR FOSTER ANIMALS ARE LIVING IN FOSTER HOMES AND TREATED LIKE FAMILY UNTIL THEY FIND THEIR OWN FUREVER FAMILIES. OUR ADOPTION PROECESS REQUIRES AN APPLICATION TO BE COMPLETED AND APPROVED BEFORE A MEET-N-GREET WITH THE ANIMAL CAN TAKE PLACE. ADOPTION FEES ARE NECESSARY TO HELP US COVER VETTING COSTS FOR OUR RESCUED ANIMALS. OUR PRIMARY ADOPTION AREA IS WITHIN THE STATE OF MICHIGAN.
