My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Deluth is a lovely young mother rat who came into the rescue after she was sold as a boy, and taken home to be housed with boys. It was soon discovered that she is not a boy, and she had a litter of babies on Jan 29, 2024. Mom and babies are very busy and active. They love to destroy things and make game of finding their food. Rats need mental stimulation and proper enrichment to be healthy and well-adjusted. Deluth and her daughters are with one foster, and the boys are with another foster. Deluth's estimated birth date is Nov 17, 2023. This group can be adopted in pairs or more.

Proof of a proper enclosure is required. A proper enclosure is secure to prevent escapes, has solid flooring and shelves (no wire as it can cause injury), and bar spacing close enough to prevent heads getting caught. Multiple water sources are recommended. An enclosure should be parge enough to provide space for climbing, digging, and burrowing. Four cubic feet per rat is preferred.

Adoption fee id $40 per pair and $15 for additional rats adopted together.

We are a small rescue who cares for all our pets in
foster homes. We do NOT have a facility & all animals
are seen by appointment only, after an application has
been approved.
Dogs' adoption fee includes vetting, spaying/neutering, and any health care they may need. For some dogs, the fee may be reduced for reasons that can be made available. Cats' adoption fee include vetting, spaying/neutering, and any health care. All are heartworm negative. We require all possible adopters to fill out an adoption application, and to submit themselves to home visits by staff or volunteers, or by local rescues. Vet reference will be required and will be used. Upon adopting, an adoption contract will be signed. Call me or email to start this process.

I got involved with rescue work out of love for animals. I had decided to set up my own rescue. I serve mostly deaf animals because they are first to be put down and are usually deemed untrainable, unadoptable and unlovable. I didn't feel this was right or fair.
