Lilly Belle has a sad, heart wrenching story, but despite everything she has been through, she still has an adorable, little Shih Tzu girl personality. Dear, sweet, Lilly Belle is only about 8 years old and 10-11 pounds, but blind. At some point in time, after being neglected, she was surrendered to another shelter, very matted with fleas, and poor, if any, vision. From that shelter, she was adopted out about a year ago, but, due to financial hardship, was surrendered again, this time to us.

Lilly Belle is calm, sweet, and friendly, and appears well adjusted to being without vision. She likes to cuddle in a cozy lap and receive affection. We’re sure her full personality will emerge as she becomes more familiar with her new people and environment. She already does show some spunk, and is very, very cute.

This wonderful, resilient, little girl, after being neglected for so long, and going from home to home, especially being blind, certainly deserves a safe, stable, loving home for the first time in her life. We have an adoption contract that must be completed and approved. We require vet and personal references as well home checks. Our normal response time is approximately 7 to 10 working days. Our Adoption Committee works very hard to place our dogs in environments where they will be most likely to succeed. Please understand that we have more applications than we do dogs and that if you do not hear from us within that timeframe, we currently do not have a dog who we feel would match your needs.

Our fee includes neuter or spay, all shots, and snap test for heartworm/erlichia/lyme. We take care of whatever their medical needs might be before they are adopted.
