My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Clover!

She holds the title for #1 snuggler on the East coast! This little lady loves nothing more than to curl up on a comfy couch with you and spend a lazy day cuddling. She would always prefer to be by someone's side, but is also crate trained and doesn't suffer from separation anxiety. With a little bit of enrichment she does a great job entertaining herself on her own, but rest assured she'll be at your side again the second you step back through the door.

Clover is house trained, and she takes treats very gently. She is a bit anxious, and can be fearful and reactive toward strange dogs and people while on walks. She would probably live her best life in a home without other dogs, with a yard, or a family that wants to help her work through her stranger danger (or both!). Clover has lived with older children (7-11), but because she can be excitable, might struggle to learn not to jump on smaller children.

Clover is a sweet girl with lots of character. She likes to let one of her pointy ears go floppy, and her cute little pink nose is sure to melt your heart. With a little bit of time to get to know, she'll be a best friend for life.

Behavior notes --
Per day trip volunteer on 4/20:
Lucky little clover is one of a kind! This sweet girl has quite the spark, and is a great companion on any walk. We spent the day hiking together where Clover kept me going with her boundless energy and constantly swiveling ears! She walks well on a leash, and while she may be a little distracted by squirrels will be a great companion to an active soul!

4/10 Clover was wiggling at the front of her kennel with soft eyes. She stood up on the door and jumped up a few times, I was able to leash her while she stood up. She pulls moderately on leash and was very excited to be out and about. She ran around the yard, greeted both of us with wiggles and allowed all handling. While her notes have indicated that she's snatchy with treats, she was relatively gentle with me! She sat for them, and after giving some open palmed, I did close palmed and she was still pretty gentle. She did show some frustration to other dogs through the play yard fence, whining and alarm barking. When she was face to face through the fenced she was wiggling. She returned to kennel without issue.

Outside of the kennel, Clover is a whole lot of dog. She's a high energy girl who would do best with a home that can give her plenty of enrichment and exercise:

4/2 Clover liked playing tug-o-war and traded very nicely for a treat. She liked stuffed toys, squeaky toys, and tug ropes best, although she did take some interest in tennis balls.

4/2 Clover is a high energy girl! When we got to the room she zoomed around, sniffing and exploring. This girl never stopped moving! So happy and bouncy and wiggly. She allowed all over handling with no issues. Clover showed me knowledge of "sit" and was pretty snatchy with treats, so an open palm is best for her. She did bark and react through the door at dogs in TTA who were barking and whining. I tried to redirect her with treats and toys and it was pretty effective, but she would sometimes go back to the door and continue barking.

Clover isn't just your average dog; she's got the best ears in town, and they're the perfect match for her delightful personality. With a heart full of love and a pair of lucky ears, Clover is ready to bring a little extra luck and a whole lot of joy to her forever family!

Clover has previously lived with children, and gets along well with them. She is not a fan of cats, so a home with just human friends would be best! Clover has never shared her home with other dogs, but previous owners noted she does well around canine friends.

Due to being significantly overcapacity with dogs and cats and higher than usual intake, extensions are unlikely to be granted. If you are interested in an animal please contact ACCT Philly immediately.

Due to limited space, timestamps may also be proceeded with early so it is imperative to let us know if you are considering adopting or tagging a dog or cat.

Confirmed placement is considered confirmation of an actual rescue pull. Possible placement, interested parties, and other "TBD" statuses are not considered confirmed and do not indicate an animal is no longer urgent.
